Company Background

Stevenson Learning Skills is a publishing and consulting company that was established locally in 1978 and began to work nationally during the mid 1980's. Our principal product is the Stevenson Language Skills Program, although we also produce specialized, stand-alone items on grammar, handwriting and other skills. Almost all the materials were originally created by Nancy Stevenson, an experienced special educator with some very unique ideas. The Stevenson Program combines research-based methods like multi-sensory phonics and phonemic awareness with some imaginative strategies that will surprise you. Although this method has always been used in both general and special education, its special strength is its capacity for helping students who otherwise struggle to learn basic skills.
