Suggestions and Instruction to Enhance the Intermediate Level -

The Intermediate Level of the Stevenson Program, which includes the two Frostings, Doilies and More books,  is more flexible than the first two levels of the program.  At this point students have a solid foundation that allows them to handle new material in different ways.  As we re-write this material for a revised version (probably to be published in 2012), we are sharing some our thoughts and new instructional activities on-line.  You can click on the attached PDF document below to check it out.

Latest on Food For Thought -

The full spring issue of Food For Thought will be coming out in late March or April, but we are going to send a short, interim version in February.  In the interim issue we want to discuss briefly a few ongoing activities and solicit some feedback.  In the full spring FFT we will have several different articles on the hot topic of assessment, as well as a brief article on the current financial picture in education.  (Don't forget, Stevenson is extremely affordable and very cost effective!)  We will also include some more light-hearted subjects.  The vast majority of you will receive your FFT issue electronically, but we will still produce a printed version for a few of our friends who prefer the good old U.S. Mail.  Be sure to let us know if you want the paper version!

Samples From New Workbook -

Here is a PDF file containing sample pages from the new Stevenson's Letter Clue Workbook.  Read the first page to get a fuller sense of the book.  For those of you who are not familiar with the full Stevenson Language Skills Program, please remember that this new workbook is just a small piece of the program, and not necessary for all students.  Stevenson covers a wide range of reading, spelling and other language skills from letter recognition to complex multisyllabe words.
