New Progress Monitoring Assessments Here Now
- We have expanded the Mastery/Management Tests for the Beginning Green and Basic Blue Levels by creating additional decoding assessments. These supplemental assessments are available free for teachers who have already purchased the Mastery/Management Test books. The new tests have been posted under "Teaching Resources." (You will find the link in the left hand column of your screen, and, after clicking, you will fiind they are the third item on the page.)
New Overlapping Books In Circulation
- We began distributing the new Overlapping Strategy books in October, and we have already received positive feedback. These two new books are designed to make it easier for certain teachers and students to begin using the Stevenson Program. The "Overlapping Strategy Teacher’s Manual" and the "Overlapping Strategy Student Book" cover the essential vowel patterns, mnemonic clues and word attack procedures from the Beginning Green Level of Stevenson while overlapping that content with the second level of the program, the Basic Blue. This strategy allows you to move through the first two levels of the program more quickly. For more information on how these books correlate to other books in the program, check out our most recent newsletter or call us at 1-800-343-1211. Updated Information Pieces - In the last four years, we have added the Lonely Vowels and Stevenson's Letters to the Beginning Level and completely rewritten the core books, the new Beginning Green materials. Very recently, we added the new Overlapping Strategy books (see above). In the process, we have created a wider spectrum of ways to apply the Stevenson Program with students of different ages and learning styles. Therefore, we revised two of our key free information pieces as well. "Using the Stevenson Program in Grades K-5" and "Using the Stevenson Program in Grades 6-12" have been completed updated not only to reflect our new materials, but also to refer to one of the latest trends in education, the RTI classifications. Call or e-mail us to request these items.
