Important Ordering Information
We have new books and old books, new prices across the board and a new policy on discounts. Please make note of the points below. If you are a public school teacher, you will particularly benefit by insuring that ordering information is accurate. Administrators seldom know exactly which books teachers want, and if the purchasing office sends us information that is not clear, we will not be able to fulfill the order until we get it cleared up. Careful ordering will help both you and us. Thank you.New Books Available September 1 - The new Beginning Green books will not be available until Sept. 1, so you may need to place orders for those books separately from other Stevenson materials you need. Some school systems do not allow backorders. Check with your administration. The new Beginning Green Level books are listed at the top of the first page of the order form (see order form links). The first five items, labeled “new” will replace the second five items labeled “original.” The new materials cover all the same Stevenson Integrals 1-102, use the same mnemonic clues (the sandwich, the layer cake, etc.) and the same word attack strategies as the original. However, the teacher directives, the teaching tools in the appendices, the practice reading material and the workbook graphics have all been revised and updated. The new books also are coordinated to the recently published Lonely Vowels materials. Samples are available (see recent newsletter article "Samples of New Books Available in May"). The new books have different titles and item codes from the original, but they are similar, so please be sure your order specifies the correct books. We will continue to sell the original Beginning Level books into the fall of 2006, so you cannot automatically assume you will get the newer books if you have not given us the correct title, item code and price.
Original Beginning Books Sold at Reduced Prices - Starting on May 1, 2006 we will sell the original Beginning Level books at significantly reduced prices (see order form). We will continue to sell these books into the fall of 2006, but they will go out of print by the end of the year. For those of you who have to buy Stevenson books out of your own pocket, this is an excellent opportunity to save money.
All Prices Changed as of May 1, 2006 - We have not changed prices at all in two years, and we have raised only a few prices a small amount during the last five years! Unfortunately, we had to increase prices across the board this year (except for the reduced prices on the original Beginning Level described above). See order form.
New Policy on Discounts - As of May 1, 2006 we will no longer offer volume discounts on workbooks. However, we will offer discounts on large orders. Single orders over $1,000 are eligible. (See order form.)
Note Our New Mailing Address on the order form. We moved last December.
Please note that we will not exchange the new Beginning Green books for the original Beginning I books. However, the original five Beginning I books that are being replaced will continue to be sold, so original books that you currently own will remain usable for next school year.
