Recent Article from Spring 2009: If You Use Stevenson, You MUST Visit QUESST! No, it’s not a rule, but it is a very good idea. If you use the Stevenson Program, you should go to www.quesstconsulting.com, the web site of senior Stevenson trainer, Nancy Ziehme. You will find a wealth of resources, many free of charge. First of all, Nancy has created videos of herself teaching the first 4 integrals of Stevenson, the letters o, a, c, and g. For those of you who are new to Stevenson, these videos offer a great way to see how the letter instruction should be done. You can even show them to your students. And access to these videos is free! You will also find links to other great free resources such as the notebook strategy under the “Organization” section and several items under the “Free Games” section. Attendees of Nancy’s workshops have access to even more useful activities. Many of you already know about the PAL items Nancy sells. If you haven’t tried some of these items, you definitely should. If you have already managed to obtain the essential core Stevenson materials and can still find some funds (see page 1), you should definitely get some PAL materials to supplement your instruction. For example, those students who need additional tactile/kinesthetic reinforcement benefit greatly from the Activity Boards, Stamp Set and Playing Cards. From must-see free TV to must-try free games to must-buy products, QUESST (note the two s’s) rates a visit.
