August 5, 2019   ~  

Nancy Ziehme, senior trainer, will present a full-day training on the Stevenson Reading Program from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. in Waxahachie, TX on August 5, 2019.  This session will include a thorough introduction to Stevenson’s unique methods as well as demonstrations of the key instructional strategies.  Participants will be able to make informed decisions about which students will benefit from the program and how to start it.  The cost is $50 – which includes a manual.  Snacks will be available, but participants will be on their own for lunch.  You can register on this website, or simply send us an email at info@stevensonlearning.com saying you would like to attend.  We will reply with more details.

February 16, 2018   ~   Columbus, OH

This course will provide a clear understanding of Stevenson methods and solid training in the essentials of the program covering most of the first two levels.  Dr. Tom Diebold is an excellent presenter and this Friday evening and Saturday all-day course will earn one graduate level credit from Ashland University.  This course will be located at the Columbus Center of the university.  You CANNOT register through Stevenson Learning Skills, so please go to this link or contact Wendi Bigelow at wbigelow@ashland.edu to register or to request details.  If you have questions about the Stevenson Program

 

February 2, 2018   ~   Columbus, OH

November 8, 2017   ~   Columbus Marriott Northwest

Bill Stevenson, Managing Editor of the Stevenson Reading Program, will give an Introductory Workshop on November 8, 2017 at the Columbus Marriott Northwest.  The session will run from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  This workshop is intended for educators who wish to learn about Stevenson’s unique approach to teaching phonics using mnemonics, and for teachers who are just beginning to use the program.  Register using the link on this page.  We will confirm your registration and send directions to the event.

May 19, 2017   ~   Fairfield County ESC

Dr. Tom Diebold will present a full-day workshop on the Stevenson Reading Program that focuses on the Beginning Green Level with some elements of the Basic Blue Level and Overlapping Strategy also covered.   The training will be held at the Fairfield County ESC, but teachers from outside of the county are welcome.  Cost is $30, witha box lunch included.  Attendance certificates for contact hours will be available.  (PD credit from Ashland University is also offered if this workshop is combined with another from the June Academy.)

Fairfield County educators can register through the ESC website: www.faircoesc.org and educators outside the county should contact Victoria Hartley at: vhartley@fairfieldesc.org or sign-up on our website (see button above or below), and we will forward the information to her.  If you haven’t seen Tom Diebold before, you shoudl take advantage of this opportunity.

March 22, 2016   ~   Region 10 ESC - Abrams Site

Nancy Ziehme, senior trainer for the Stevenson Reading Program, will give a full day workshop on the second level of the Program, the Basic Blue, and the Overlapping Strategy, at the Region 10 ESC.  You will need to register through the Region 10 ESC.  See registration information above.  To register for either or both trainings go to http://www.region10.org/ and click on Event Registration, then search for the appropriate date.  Teachers from Region 10 schools will receive priority, but educators form anywhere can sign up if the sessions are not full.
